Industrial design assistance
and production surfaces
An advanced product developed in parallel at several sites, the GE Healthcare’s Vivid 9 is a cardiovascular ultrasound system with highly developed design and mechanics.
Requiring specific competence in production surfaces, I was assigned surface modeling for a selection of the injection moulded parts, especially the ones with mechanical joints or other interfaces.I also assisted GE Healthcare’s internal designers on detailing and sketch to 3D interpretation.
Norwegian development team: Apart from the GE Healthcare team providing executive input, the mechanical development was a cooperation between Kitron Development, Techni and Jørgen Holo.
